Ladies Concealed Carry Class

Join us for our first Ladies Only Concealed Carry Class!

Earn the certificate needed to apply for a Concealed Carry License or just come for the training and education of being a responsible gun owner. 

Cost is $135/pp. Space is limited to 10 per class. Register early, this class will fill up fast! Payment will be required to be made in advance to hold your spot.

You will need to bring your own handgun, holster and belt (see below for details), as well as 100 rounds of ammunition. If you have eye & hearing protection, please bring that as well. If not, extra will be provided. If you do not have your own handgun, let us know; the instructors have limited loaners. See below for details.

This concealed carry class will fulfill the training requirements set forth in section 18-12-203 of the Colorado State firearms statute to qualify for a Colorado Concealed Handgun Permit.

COLORADO CONCEALED HANDGUN CERTIFICATION COURSE

R. S. Security Consulting offers a premier, one full day course to become certified to apply for a Colorado Concealed Handgun Permit.  This training is mandatory per the State of Colorado to obtain a permit.  This course goes far beyond the two hours of training required by the state.  This course is designed for beginner to advanced.

This course includes training in the following areas:

Classroom (handout is provided)

• Areas of Colorado law regarding concealed handgun carry (state required two hour minimum)
• Psychology and mindset
• Dealing with law enforcement
• The legal system

Handgun live fire training

• Equipment considerations and selection
• Handgun shooting skills
• Live fire on the range

The participant will be required to provide a handgun, outside the waist belt loop style holster, pants belt, 100 rounds of ammunition, eye and hearing protection.  Eye and hearing protection can be provided at no extra cost if participant has none.  If the participant does not have a handgun, one can be provided for and additional rental cost of $35.00 which includes ammunition.

About the instructors

Scott Stoneburner is the company owner and lead instructor.  Scott is a born native of Gunnison and Graduated from Western Colorado University.  Scott has over 30 years of experience as an instructor.  Scott is a retired law enforcement sergeant where he served in several assignments as a tactical team leader, department firearms instructor and detective.  Scott is a certified NRA handgun instructor and a NRA Chief Range Safety Officer.  Scott is a distinguished expert in five different type of firearms.  Scott is also a part time instructor at a Colorado law enforcement training academy.

Robert Allen is an assistant instructor for the course.  Robert is retired from the United States Marine Corps where he served in Vietnam.  Robert operated in the field of reconnaissance gathering intelligence.  Robert was also a rifle Expert Marksman in the Marine Corps.  Robert has many years of experience in firearms handling and shooting.  Robert is an NRA Certified Handgun Instructor as well an NRA Chief Range Safety Officer.  Robert is the owner of a successful insurance agency.

Greg Stoneburner is also an assistant instructor.  Greg is a local resident of Gunnison County.  Greg grew up learning and practicing shooting handguns and rifles from an early age.  Greg has the honor of being an Eagle Scout.  Greg is an NRA Distinguished Rifle Expert.  Greg is a handgun instructor and a range safety officer.  Greg is self employed having a business as a contractor and horse shoe farrier.
